Little Kings & Queens Charter Academy was founded with the belief that every child deserves a strong foundation for success. We provide a nurturing, engaging, and academically rich environment where students are encouraged to dream big, think critically, and grow with confidence.
From a young age, I have always loved children and helping people. My journey began in high school when my very first job was babysitting. Later, I worked in a hospital for a while, but after being laid off, I decided it was time to follow my true calling—working with children. My grandmother,
who always dreamed of opening an Adult Day Care, inspired me to create something similar for children. With her encouragement, I took the money I received from my layoff, researched everything I could about childcare, and opened my first family home daycare in the basement of my home in 1999.
I began with 10 children and operated under daycare center rules and regulations, offering two classes. The state evaluated my program as a center and awarded me a 3-star rating. That experience planted the seeds for what has now grown into Little Kings & Queens Charter Academy, a place where children are loved, nurtured, and given the foundation to thrive.

We provide young children with a safe place to explore, create, and learn in small groups. Our curriculum caters to the total child’s needs. We aim to foster independent learning and make learning enjoyable!
Every staff member has completed all of the training requirements of the state. In addition, all staff members are CPR trained. We are fortunate to have staff that love children and love working here. They are dedicated to providing the best childcare possible and to work with your children to prepare them to enter school with all of the tools needed to be successful.
